Hello there! I'm Belinda Basson, formerly known as Belinda Pieterse. As a Master Life Coach specialising in Relationships, my mission is to guide individuals on their journey of self-discovery.
I'm deeply passionate about helping people transition from self-doubt to a place of robust self-awareness and confidence.
I believe that the foundation of all meaningful relationships begins with understanding and appreciating the value we bring to the table, starting with the relationship we have with ourselves.

Divorce after 22 years of marriage
After 22 years of marriage, I found the courage to face a difficult reality. My relationship had become a source of verbal, emotional, and mental abuse, escalating to the extent that my physical safety was compromised. I was faced with a heart-wrenching decision: to stay in the marriage, continuing to suffer in silence and slowly losing myself, or to break the vows I once made in search of safety and self-preservation. Despite its difficulties, I chose the latter. I chose to prioritise my well-being, to break free from the toxic cycle, and ultimately, to save myself.
Getting to know, understand and be OK with myself
After my divorce, I embarked on a self-discovery journey that gave me deep insights into myself and the role of self-understanding in our lives. This period of introspection led me to a profound understanding of myself - not just my thoughts and beliefs, but also their origins and their impact on my life. It prompted me to write my book, 'Freedom', capturing my experiences and lessons learned. I also started workshops to help others understand themselves better. These experiences have turned a challenging chapter of my life into a tool for empowerment and transformation.
Year of transformation - challenging limiting believes
During my year of transformation, I took a deep dive into self-reflection and evaluation. This was a time to determine where I wanted to be in all areas of my life. I learned the profound significance of understanding the 'why' behind our desired changes and being brutally honest about what limiting believes could keep us from making these changes. Grasping these truths, I embarked on a journey of genuine transformation that turned out to be lasting. This transformative year became the springboard for the development of the ReDefine Yourself Program, which has since guided hundreds of individuals towards success and fulfilment in their lives.
Aligning and preparing myself for the next season
After eight years of solitude, I was graced with a dream and prophetic words about my future husband. These messages not only breathed life into the prospect of love, but also prompted a journey of self-discovery and preparation. I began to articulate my hopes and desires for a future partner while simultaneously delving into my personal values. The creation of a value statement served as a guiding light, ensuring that I would remain true to myself in any future relationship. The dream and prophetic words opened my heart to the possibility of a new love, sparking a transformative process of readiness and anticipation.
Time for new beginnings
After a decade of single-hood, a new season dawned – marked by love, companionship, and mutual respect. The self-discovery I had embarked upon years ago now played an instrumental role in facilitating difficult conversations, forging a deeper connection and a stronger bond between us. This new chapter of my life is marked by a nurturing care that coexists beautifully with my individual strength and the unique value I bring to our marriage. It is a time of blessed happiness as we continue to build a healthy and fulfilling relationship, characterised by an unbreakable bond, for our hearts are resolutely set on one another.
What the future holds
Looking forward, I am called to illuminate God's original blueprint for relationships and marriages. I am committed to applying the insights and wisdom I've acquired from my personal journey to guide individuals at every stage of their relationship journey. Whether healing from past heartbreaks, preparing for new love, or fortifying a marriage, my mission is to provide the necessary tools and guidance. The cornerstone of my approach is fostering a healthy relationship with oneself, as I firmly believe that the quality of our relationship with ourselves sets the tone for all other relationships in our lives.
